Emma Job is a french graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven.

She works with history as material, examining how the past is curated and filtered into day-to-day habits. Through contextual design, she builds objects around historical feminine figures and craftsmanship.

She is interested in how small, private acts carry collective and political weight once we recognise where they come from. Rather than rejecting our desire for heritage, her work often takes on the museum’s habits of display and recasts femininity as something curated rather than passed down where they stop reading as fleeting personal choices and begin to read as a collection, a set of habits acquired, catalogued and held up for study.
